“The realization dawns that the two laws which manifest themselves in an almost endless variety of ways are the very fabric of life itself and that an escape from their diametrically opposing demands is therefore impossible” (The Inward Odyssey by Edith B Schnapper - Photo ‘Kyoto, Japan’ by Dirk Buwalda)
We took a young journalist from an Amsterdam based newspaper out on a diving tour. It was great fun. But unfortunately she missed the Crème de la Crème and didn’t stay for the weekly open dinner. See the translation in English.

The cars go about their own lives, the people in the metallic boxes do not see me and just follow their own routes. Unconcerned about this guy who smiles kindly to them and waves occasionally….
A journalist approached me to go dumpster diving at a government building. We agreed to go via the official way and we received permission to go through their waste-bins to do a full inspection of how they deal with waste. The score was some nice sandwhiches, long talks about waste-management and a great day. And what’s more: their bins are available to dive!
I love hitchhiking! I write about hitchhiking on my blog http://robokow.net but also in Dutch at Liftenwerkt! or Hitchhiking Works!
